Graphics are decent, as well as music and sound effects. Atmosphere was lightly spooky. Probably better to play alone at night in a dark room. Puzzles were decent as well although some of them werent based on logic - "Why would anyone think to use xxx to do xxx?" - so sometimes ended up just randomly trying things. Not as satisfying as using actual critical thinking skills. Storyline was a little intriguing but the ending was anticlimactic. Had a suspicion mid-way through the game so when the big "reveal" came, was disappointed. Plus the lead up to it was waaaaaayyyy too drawn out and stilted. And while I knew what the ending was supposed to be, the background story to it didnt really make sense to me. I cant really give a good critique without spoilers though. The diary feature of the game was impressive. Other games could learn from this. Not only were the drawings lovely but it made piecing together puzzles less tedious without making things too easy. You often had to remember things youd seen in previous scenes to solve puzzles, and the diary automatically recorded those things for you without giving away their connection too much. Overall, a solid intro game for those who have never played such games before and for those who have, while you wont be blown away its still enjoyable to play.
